So, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis – what a mouthful, right? Well, this fancy term is all about a bothersome situation for your wrist, particularly on the thumb’s turf. It’s when the tendons that let your thumb move decide to throw a temper tantrum, inflaming like they’ve got nothing better to do. The culprits here are two tendons – the abductor pollicis longus and the extensor pollicis brevis. They’re not too thrilled and they let you know it.
